The EU Centre Research Office is the Istanbul Technical University’s institutional contact point of the EU Framework Programs.
EU Centre has undertaken the function of being the institutional contact point within ITU. Coordination between the National Coordinator and National Contact Points (TÜBİTAK) and ITU institutionally is provided by the EU Center Research Office.
ITU EU Center contributes to the realization of research activities carried out in the European Union at ITU, and coordinates all of the communication and information exchange between ITU and European Union organizations in the field of research. EU Centre organizes seminars and workshops linked to the European Research Area (ERA) to inform the academic staff at ITU and to inform them about the latest developments in the European research area. In addition, the EU Center assists academic staff in preparing Framework Programs project proposals, including project management, finding partners in projects, finding opportunities for researchers to be included in project groups and developing relationships with other interested parties such as the private sector and SMEs.
